## Turn on sync

1. Make sure each device is signed in to iCloud with the same Apple Account.
2. On your Mac, choose Mili > Settings… (<kbd>⌘</kbd><kbd>,</kbd>), then click Sync.
3. Turn on Use iCloud Sync. It’s on by default once you subscribe to Mili Pro.

The status line shows “Syncing…” or the time of the last sync. From then on, changes sync automatically — there’s nothing else you need to do.

## What syncs

- **Synced**: Subscriptions, recurring income, every entry in your ledger, To Confirm items you’ve skipped, and ledger settings such as budgets.
- **Not synced**: App settings such as base currency, appearance, exchange rates, and default reminder days, plus custom icons you’ve chosen for subscriptions. On your other devices, those subscriptions show the icon Mili fetches automatically.

Your data is stored in your own private iCloud database. Only your Apple Account can access it, and the developer can’t read it.

## Sync manually

Choose File > Sync with iCloud Now (<kbd>⌘</kbd><kbd>R</kbd>), or click Sync Now in Settings > Sync.

## Troubleshooting

- **You see “Not signed in to iCloud”**: Sign in with your Apple Account in System Settings on your Mac.
- **You see “iCloud denied access”**: Open System Settings, click your name, then click iCloud, and make sure Mili is allowed to use iCloud.
- **Your devices show different data**: First make sure both devices are signed in with the same Apple Account, then sync once on each of them.
- **You see two identical entries**: If two devices change the amount, date, or category of the same entry at the same time, Mili keeps both versions, and one of them has “(Conflict copy — check and delete the extra one)” in its notes. Check them, then delete the extra entry.

## After Mili Pro expires

Sync pauses, and your data stays just as it is, both on your Mac and in iCloud. When you resubscribe, syncing picks up where it left off.
